Underage Drinking, Retail Theft, Elmhurst Cops
Officers charged men in two cases with underage drinking, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with underage drinking, retail theft and driving violations. Here are the latest Elmhurst arrest reports:
Underage drinking
- Three Elmhurst men were cited Tuesday in the 500 block of South Mitchell on charges of underage drinking. They were 18, 19 and 20. Parents of one of the men said their highly intoxicated son was dropped off by his friends.
- Two men were cited Tuesday in the 600 block of South Saylor on charges of underage drinking. They were 18 and 19. Police said an officer saw the men along the road. The officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from their breath. They admitted to drinking.
Retail theft

- Brian Conner, 29, of Chicago, was cited about 9 p.m. Wednesday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller, on two counts of retail theft. According to a police report, Conner was seen concealing over-the-counter medications and then leaving without paying for them. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Warrants
- Jeremy Clifton, 28, of Chicago, was arrested about 1 p.m. Wednesday at Butterfield and Colfax on warrants. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, officers from multiple agencies tried to stop Clifton's car, but he tried to flee and crashed his car. An investigation is pending.
Driving violations

- James Williams, 31, of Glen Ellyn, was cited about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of North on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released on bond.
- Derrick Young, 37, of Chicago, was cited about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Carol on a charge of no valid driver's license. He was released on bond.
- Amarley Coggins, 26, of Chicago, was cited about 8 p.m. Wednesday at York and Crescent on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured vehicle and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
