ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving unlicensed gambling machines, domestic disturbances, an unresponsive person, a concerning message and a phone that was found. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Unlicensed gambling machines

  • An officer met with the owner of Power Mart gas station, 572 W. Lake St. Police said the owner was operating gambling machines without a proper license. An investigation is pending.

Domestic disturbances

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of South Prospect Avenue. A woman said another person pushed her during an argument. The suspect denied doing so and agreed to leave the house. No arrests were made because of conflicting statements.
  • A domestic disturbance occurred about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 100 block of East Crestview Avenue. A woman said another person shoved her and grabbed her wrist. The incident was reported Tuesday. An investigation is pending.

Unresponsive person

  • Officers and medics responded to the report of an unresponsive person about 7:30 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Prospect Avenue. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Concerning message

  • A resident in the 300 block of East South Street told police Monday about receiving a concerning text message from a suspect. An investigation is pending.

Phone found

  • A woman at Elmhurst Hospital told police she lost her phone Tuesday and was able to track it to an address in Bellwood. Officers met with a Bellwood resident, who related finding the phone in the hospital's parking lot and taking possession of it. The police got the phone and notified the woman.
