ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving an unwanted kiss, an argument, a disturbance, disorderly conduct, a sidewalk fall and identity theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Unwanted kiss

  • A woman woke up to find a man kissing her early Tuesday morning at Villa Park's Walmart, 900 Route 83. The matter was referred to Villa Park police. The suspect was described as black, 25 years old and thin.

Argument

  • A person in the 400 block of East Huntington Lane told police that her partner had gotten into a heated argument about 2 a.m. Wednesday with a co-worker. Both suspects were separated. One agreed to leave.

Disturbance

  • A disturbance between a suspect and an employee was reported last week at Elmhurst Animal Care Center, 850 S. Riverside Drive. The officer met with the suspect Wednesday and served him with a no-trespass notice.

Disorderly

  • A man trying to check in about 11 p.m. Wednesday at Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive, became upset when he was told he needed to pay a deposit. He screamed and threw items from his bag in the hotel lobby. He was served with a no-trespass notice.

Sidewalk fall

  • A woman tripped and fell on the sidewalk about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near Third and Michigan streets. She was taken to Loyola University Medical Center.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 200 block of North Maple Avenue told police Tuesday that his identity was used to rent a U-Haul truck on July 11, 2022. U-Haul staff believe a fraudulent driver's license was used.
