Unwelcome Sleeper In Elmhurst House: Cops

He was accused of trying to enter the rest of the house, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst resident found a stranger sleeping on a couch in the resident's screened-in patio early Monday morning, police said.

The stranger, a 34-year-old man from Cicero, was accused of trying to open the interior door. He admitted to sleeping in the patio, but denied trying to enter the rest of the house, police said.

The discovery of the stranger was about 6 a.m. in the 400 block of North Maple Avenue, police said.

The stranger was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. He was released.
