Villa Park Named Among Best Places To Live: Money Magazine
Villa Park was ranked no. 28 on a list of best places to live in the U.S.

VILLA PARK, IL — Villa Park has been named one of the best places to live in the U.S., according to Money Magazine. The magazine ranked the top 100 communities in the country based on a healthy economy, affordable homes and a high quality of life.
Money's list used eight categories to evaluate 2,400 cities and towns with populations between 10,000 and 100,000 people. The magazine looked at criteria that determine a community's quality of life including: cost of living, economy, education, housing, crime, amenities and ease of living.
Villa Park ranked 28th on the list, due to its low unemployment, incomes that top the state median and reasonable housing prices. Villa Park was incorporated in 1914, and grew up as a company town for workers at the Ovaltine chocolate factory, according to the magazine.
