Why Bomb Squad Went To Elmhurst Neighborhood

The squad took custody of items that prompted the response, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – DuPage County's bomb squad showed up over the weekend in an Elmhurst neighborhood, police said.

According to a police report, a man was cleaning his late father's garage early Saturday afternoon in the 600 block of West Belden Avenue when he found ammunition and two bazooka-style rounds.

The bomb squad responded and said the items were World War II-era bazooka rounds. The squad took custody of the items.
