Wienermobile Crashes Near Elmhurst: Report

ELMHURST, IL – The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile flipped over in a crash late Monday morning on Interstate 294, just south of Roosevelt Road, near Elmhurst, Fox 32 reported.

The Wienermobile struck a Hyundai sedan, both of which were headed north, the TV station said. Fox 32 said no one was reported as injured.

The company released a statement Monday afternoon, "We’re grateful that everybody involved is safe and there were no injuries. We’re offering ongoing support for our Hotdoggers, and we appreciate the support we’ve received from local authorities. Safety on the road is top priority for us."
