Winfield Man Inappropriately Touches, Photographs 15-Year-Old: Police

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Police have detained a 62-year-old man from Winfield for an investigation of criminal sexual abuse that occurred at Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago at 4:15 p.m. Thursday. According to a release from police, the 62-year-old allegedly sat next to a 15-year-old girl from Lombard and began to inappropriately touch and photograph her.

Police said the victim was eventually able to move from her seat, and notified Metra staff who stopped the train in Elmhurst and called police. The outbound train was delayed for a brief period of time and eventually left the Elmhurst station.

According to the release, Metra police and Union Pacific police will be taking over the investigation.
