Woman Causes Problems In Elmhurst Neighborhood: Cops
The suspect was accused of battery, among other offenses, after she hit a guardrail, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A woman was arrested on a number of charges after she struck a guardrail at the dead end of West Verret Street in Elmhurst, police said.
The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of West Verret, police said.
The 24-year-old Flossmoor woman was charged with DUI, obstructing justice, battery (two counts), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and improper lane usage. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Police said the woman, who smelled of alcohol, admitted to drinking beforehand.
Verret is a residential street in southwestern Elmhurst. It is between Salt Creek and Route 83.
