Woman Falls From Car Near Elmhurst Eatery: Cops
In other cases, drunk people are found on the ground, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a woman who fell out of a car, drunk people on the ground, a fugitive driver, a dog bite, a disturbance and theft. Here are the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Fell out of a car
- A woman fell out of a parked car about 7 p.m. Sunday near Gia Mia restaurant, 116 E. Schiller St. She suffered a minor injury. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

- A 46-year-old Chatham man was found lying on the ground about 11:30 a.m. Friday near Thonrtons gas station, 476 N. York St. He was found to be intoxicated and in possession of open liquor. He was cited on a charge of possession of liquor on public property.
- About 5 a.m. Sunday, a drunk person was lying on the sidewalk near Dunkin' Donuts, 195 E. Butterfield Road. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Dog bite
- A pedestrian was bitten in the right thigh by a white medium-sized dog about 8 a.m. Friday at Kenilworth and Crestview. The man suffered a single puncture wound, but refused medical treatment. Officers checked the area for loose dogs, but didn't find the offending one.
Fugitive driver

- About 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Road and Route 83, officers saw a Honda Civic associated with a missing person. The officers tried to stop the car, but the driver sped away south on Route 83 and was last seen heading east on Interstate 88.
Disturbance
- Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., complained about suspects causing a disturbance about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Each was given a no-trespass notice.
Theft
- A woman told police that someone stole her shoes between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday at East End Park, 463 E. Schiller St.
