Woman Heard Yelling For Help In Elmhurst House: Cops
Police say they plan to charge her boyfriend because he gave false name, report says.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police responded to disturbances in recent days. Here is information from the reports:
- A number of witnesses told police they heard a woman screaming for help from inside a house about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of South Spring Road. Officers entered the house, but were unable to find the parties involved. The woman was later found and said she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend. She said she did not wish to sign a complaint. An officer spoke with the boyfriend, who gave a false name during the investigation. A warrant against him charging obstruction of identification is pending.
- A domestic disturbance happened about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Robert Palmer Drive. A man told police that a woman struck him in the face after he refused to leave her car. The man declined to sign a complaint. Both were released.
- Police responded to a disturbance about 7 p.m. Saturday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. Security said an intoxicated patient refused to leave. The person was given a no-trespass notice.
- Police conducted a chronic nuisance investigation in the 900 block of South Hillcrest Avenue about 10 a.m. Thursday. Disturbances at a house on the street have drawn police many times in recent months. Arrests have been made in some cases.
