Woman Pushed Outside Elmhurst Grocery: Police
She was placing her child in her rear seat at the time, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving battery, fraud, damage, trespassing, theft, and a disturbance. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Battery
- A woman told police she was pushed while placing her child in the rear seat of her car about 2:30 p.m. Friday at Mariano's, 678 N. York St. An investigation is pending.

- A resident in the 400 block of Emery Lane told police that men came to his door and asked for his name about 2 p.m. Sunday. The resident saw eight to 10 men in his driveway. The resident asked them to leave. They entered two minivans and left the area. They were described as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old and dressed in all black.
Fraud
- Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, told police Friday that someone four days earlier provided fraudulent information in an attempt to obtain prescription medication. An investigation is pending.
Damage

- A woman found several scratches on the passenger side of her car about 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at Market Square condos, 200 N. Addison. She believed it was caused by another tenant. The damage was reported five days later.
- A man defaced a roadway with red spray paint about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Michigan Street. The resident was told to refrain from doing so again.
- Outdoor decorations were damaged about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Monterey. Outdoor security footage showed a person vandalizing the decorations. An investigation is pending.
Trespassing
- A resident in the 400 block of North Berteau on Friday asked police to issue a no-trespass notice to a suspect. The police did so.
Theft
- A man stole a package about 1:30 a.m. Saturday from a front porch in the 200 block of North Myrtle Avenue. The man was described as 25 to 45 years old, wearing a dark hooded jacket, a dark skull cap, brown pants, a white belt and brown Nike shoes with white shoelaces. He was seen driving an older model, four-door sedan with tinted windows and damage to the front passenger door and quarter panel.
Disturbance
- Elmhurst police were called about 3 a.m. Saturday about a person refusing to leave Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. The person later relented and agreed to follow the hospital's admission procedures. The person was allowed to stay.
