Yet-To-Open Elmhurst Brewery Threatened: Cops

The business is hiring people, including for a position that pays up to $55,000.

ELMHURST, IL – The yet-to-open Phase Three Brewing, 494 Spring Road, received threatening text messages from a man after interviewing him recently, police said.

The business reported the messages Wednesday. Police said an investigation is pending.

Patch left an emailed message Friday with Phase Three about when it plans to open.

On its website, Phase Three said it is hiring people now. It lists one position – a sous chef, which pays $50,000 to $55,000 a year.

Earlier this year, Phase Three told the city it planned to open in May. Last summer, the business said it had hoped to open by early this year.

Phase Three's 120-seat concept includes the sale of handcrafted beers and hard seltzers for consumption both for on and off site.
