York High's Renovated Auditorium Ready
Upgraded seating, orchestra shell and lighting were part of the work, the school district said.
ELMHURST, IL – York High School's auditorium renovation is done, with a celebration of the project set for Wednesday.
The improvements include upgraded seating, flooring, orchestra shell, lighting and stage equipment, according to a statement from Elmhurst School District 205.
"The updated auditorium offers state-of-the-art features that will enhance student performances for years to come," the district said.

A few months ago, the district said the renovation was estimated to cost $7 million. It was among the bigger projects that were part of the $168 million referendum that voters approved in 2018.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium. School officials are expected to attend.
