York Township Seniors Can Get Computer Training

Agreement is between the township and the city government.

Press release from York Township:

Oct. 29, 2020

On Thursday October 15th, eight computers complete with keyboards, mouse devices and monitors were delivered to York Township Hall as part of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the City of Elmhurst and York Township. The IGA helps the City of Elmhurst control costs by eliminating recycling fees for the gently used computers. More significantly, the agreement gives York Township the opportunity to offer computer training classes to seniors who may wish to learn more about computer basics, such as email, and providing additional ways for them to communicate with their kids and grandkids.

York Township Trustee Anthony Cuzzone said, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the citizens of York Township, I would like to thank the Elmhurst City Council, IT Manager Mike Stenson and most importantly City Manager Jim Grabowski for helping it all come to fruition.”
Supervisor Valle said, “I would also like to thank the Mayor of Elmhurst, Steve Morley. This is our third agreement with the City of Elmhurst and we are very extremely grateful for our relationships within our communities. I know this will make our seniors very happy and I look forward to offering classes once again as soon as it is safe to do so.”
