Boy Gets Lowdown From Elmhurst Police
The child was intently watching the aftermath of a crash over the weekend.

ELMHURST, IL – Police officers are accustomed to spectators after crashes. But one seemed especially interested over the weekend.
On Saturday, Elmhurst officers responded to a traffic crash in which a teenage driver struck a parked car, police said. Fortunately, no one was injured.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Elmhurst police related how Sgt. Brendan Bruckner spoke with a small boy who was intently watching the police and fire department activity after the crash.

"(The officer) took a few minutes to sit with him, explain everything was going to be ok, and demonstrated the relationship of trust that effective police departments have with their communities," the police department said.
