Youths Bother Elmhurst Restaurant Staff: Cops
They opened the back door and threw milk crates inside, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving disorderly conduct, squad car damage, a missing person, graffiti, identity theft and a found bike. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Disorderly conduct
- A group of youths opened the back door to Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York St., and threw several milk crates into the kitchen. It occurred about 4:30 p.m. Monday. An investigation is pending.
- A woman went to Sky Zone Trampoline Park, 325 W. Lake St., about 9 p.m. Wednesday. She entered with several children, but paid for only one. She threatened staff when she was told to leave because of the lack of payment. The business hit the panic alarm, prompting the police to come.
Squad car damage

- A squad car was damaged about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Elmhurst police station, 125 E. First St. The damage consists of a small dent in the door frame above the driver's side front window.
Missing person
- Police found a person who appeared to be lost and distraught about 3 a.m. Monday at Shell gas station, 654 W. North Ave. The person had been reported missing in Wood Dale. Wood Dale police were notified.
Graffiti

- The south side of a garage of a vacant house owned by the city at 997 Riverside Drive was graffitied between Friday and Monday.
- Someone scrawled graffiti on light poles and utility boxes along Eggleston Avenue from Mitchell to Cottage Hill avenues. It was done between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 100 block of South Kenilworth Avenue told police Tuesday that she shares a Chase Bank account with her son and noticed money missing from the account. Her son had given account information to someone on Snapchat. Chase was able to recover the money. The account has been closed.
Found bike
- An officer found an abandoned light blue Trek Navigator women's mountain bicycle about 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave. The officer was unable to find the owner's information, so the bike was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
