Youths Get In Trouble In 2 Elmhurst Incidents

In one case, youths use a Splatter Ball gun against random people, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Youths got in trouble in two incidents in the last few days in Elmhurst. Here is information from police reports:

  • Police were called about five youths shooting projectiles at random people about 6 p.m. Sunday at Addison and First. Officers found the suspects' car and stopped it. They discovered a Splatter Ball gun inside the car. The youths were taken to the police station and released to their parents. Police plan to file charges.
  • A loud explosion was reported about 9 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of South Boyd Avenue. It was fireworks set off by a group of youths. One of the youths was cited on charges of possession of tobacco by a minor, possession of fireworks by a minor and possession of alcohol. The youth was released to his parents.
