19 Evanstonians Finished The Boston Marathon Monday

Evanston was well-represented in the Boston Marathon on Monday.

BOSTON, MA - Thousands of runners gathered for the Boston Marathon on Monday as part of the United States’ largest race.

The top three male finishers were Ethiopians. Lemi Berhanu Hayle won the Men’s Marathon, besting defending champ Lelisa Desisa at 2:12:45, very modest for a Boston-winning time. Adhane Tsegay clocked in at 2:14:02.

Locally, Evanston had more than their fair share of representation at the Marathon. 22 local residents ran the race, 19 of which finished.
