85 Percent of Valli Produce Employees Live in Evanston: Alderman
Second Ward Alderman Peter Braithewaite praises company's desire to hire locally.

Valli Produce, which opened its Evanston location at 1919 Dempster St. in Evanston Plaza, has 120 employees, and 85 percent of them reside in Evanston.
That’s according to Second Ward Alderman Peter Briathewaite, who spoke favorably of the company’s desire to hire locally at a grand opening ceremony Wednesday - according to Evanston Now.

The 70,000-square-foot store is on the site of the former Dominick’s market. Valli has plans to buy the entire plaza, including the remainder of the Dominick’s lease.
Store manager Carmine Presta said a renovation of the entire Evanston Plaza complex will be on the way.

“He called the store opening the start of a long-lasting relationship with Evanston and said the company would work hard to make Evanston proud of Valli,” according to the Evanston Now report.
