Amanda Knox Will Speak at Loyola University in December
Less than a year after being exonerated of a murder in Italy, Amanda Knox will speak about her experiences in Chicago.

Amanda Knox, the Seattle woman who spent more than four years in an Italian prison for the murder of roommate Meredith Kercher - a crime of which she was later completed exonerated - will discuss her experiences as the guest speaker at the ‘Life After Innocence’ annual luncheon at Loyola University (Chicago) in December.
Knox’ case drew international attention over a seven-year period. She was first released from prison in 2011 when her conviction was overturned by an Italian supreme court, but was not completely exonerated until earlier this year.
She is “active in the innocence movement” and will discuss her experiences and work advocating for other who have been wrongly convicted during the December 3 luncheon at Loyola’s Philip H. Corboy Law Center from noon to 2 p.m., according to the Loyola School of Law alumni.

Tickets are $100, which includes a $70 donation to the school’s Life After Innocence - a group that advocates for innocent people released from prison, helping them reenter society and clear their records.
