America Remembers The Evil of 9/11/01 - "Today we pray ... tomorrow we fight."

Twelve years ago today evil was visited upon our country by a group that would seek to destroy our way of life through a vile attack. I specifically remember a portion of President George Bush's speech from the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. the Friday after. 

"War has been waged against us by stealth and deceit and murder. This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing."

We have yet to finish the battle to see that those responsible are properly punished. The overall ring leader was properly dispatched to hell a year ago by a group of Navy Seals. Its time that the remainder of those responsible who are being held at Gitmo be given a trial, a hot shot and a dirt nap so that chapter can be closed.
We won't ever forget those that were murdered, nor those whose acts of self sacrifice were made in attempting to rescue them. There are points where there is no alternative but to use force to repel those that would do us harm.
