Medical Examiner Identifies Man Who Fell From Northwestern Building

The man died Thursday afternoon in a construction accident, according to Evanston police.

EVANSTON, IL — Officials have identified a man who fell off the top of a Northwestern University building Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, the Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as 57-year-old Thomas Darcy of Schaumburg. Darcy was a contractor who had been doing construction work at the Northwestern University Allen Center at 2169 Campus Drive.

Authorities said he was operating equipment before he fell four stories to the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators don't believe there was any criminal activity connected to the man's death.
