EVANSTON, IL — Residents in an Evanston neighborhood were advised to shelter in place Friday morning due to a high-pressure gas line break.
The Evanston Fire Department said the break happened in front of 2145 Ridge Ave, and officials are on scene to manage the situation. Residents were urged to avoid the area from Noyes Street to Simpson Avenue.
At this time, no evacuations have been ordered, but community members near the area were advised to shelter in place.
