A community meeting to discuss the vacant Ninth Ward alderman position has been called by Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl.

Tisdahl, who is tasked with appointing a successor for outgoing Ald. Colleen Burrus, will host residents on Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave.

“Mayor Tisdahl will be asking residents about the qualities they want to see in the new Alderman who she will appoint to fill Ald. Burrus’s unexpired term,” according to a city memo sent Monday.
