Deal Reached Between District 65 and Teachers Union: Report
Agreement could be announced soon, Evanston Now reports.

EVANSTON, IL - A tentative deal has been reached between Evanston/Skokie District 65 and its teachers union on a contract, Evanston Now reports.
The “tentative agreement” was confirmed by Paula Zelinski of the District 65 Educators’ Council and both sides indicated the announcement should be made official soon.
District 65 teachers have been working without a contract since August and hinted at a possible strike this month.

Negotiations went late into the night on Friday and resumed Saturday afternoon until the agreement was reached. It’s still unclear whether the deal is for a full four-year term or a temporary deal that would last for only one year.
