Alleged gunman Steven Jones is reported to have sought membership in the NAU chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

An Evanston-based fraternity is at the center of the investigation into last week’s school shooting at Northern Arizona University where one student was killed and three others wounded.
18-year-old Steven Jones, the alleged gunman, was seeking membership in the Sigma Chi Fraternity chapter at NAU, reports WNIJ - the radio station at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Jones is accused of killing Colin Brough, of Castle Rock, Colo. and wounding three others Friday morning.
The fraternity’s executive director, Michael Church, executive of the fraternity, said the NAU chapter’s operations in Flagstaff, Ariz. have been suspended pending the investigation.
