Evanston Beaches Open Saturday
Five beaches will open for the summer on Memorial Day weekend in Evanston.
EVANSTON, IL - Swimming season in Evanston starts Saturday.
The five public swimming beaches in Evanston city limits will all be open for the season on Saturday, May 28 as the Memorial Day weekend begins.
Beach hours until June 3 are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A daily pass or season token must be presented for beach admission, according to the city.

Evanston’s five beaches are located at Central St. and Sheridan Rd. (Lighthouse Beach), Clark St. and Sheridan Rd. (Clark Street), 1401 Sheridan Rd. (Greenwood Street), 1111 Lake Shore Blvd. (Lee Street) and 525 Sheridan Square (South Boulevard).

Three beaches are accessible to people with disabilities: Greenwood Street, Lee Street and Lighthouse.
From June 4 until Labor Day, the beaches will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
