Evanston City Manager's Office Intern Takes On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

Alyssa Tillmon, a 24-year-old Northern Illinois University student, is scheduled to appear on Thursday's broadcast, according to a report.

EVANSTON, IL — An intern working at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center is due to appear on Thursday's broadcast of the long-running game show "Wheel of Fortune."

Alyssa Tillmon, 24, a longtime fan of the fill-in-the blank world puzzle game currently pursuing a master's degree at Northern Illinois University, become a contestant on the show following a remote audition, Evanston Now reported.

“I had the mentality of ‘I got this, I got this. I’m going to win this game,'” she told Evanston Now.

Currently an intern in the city manager's office, Tillmon taped an episode of of the game show in Los Angeles in mid-October with hosts Pat Sagak and Vanna White, according to the website. It is scheduled to air at 6:30 p.m. on WLS-TV, Chicago's ABC affiliate.
