Evanston Firefighter Retires After 2 Decades With EFD
A retirement ceremony was held Monday for Firefighter/Paramedic Mike Hasanov.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston Fire Department Firefighter/Paramedic Mike Hasanov is retired as of Monday, Oct. 3.
Hasanov had been with the department for more than 20 years and was honored with a retirement ceremony at the Evanston Fire Headquarters on Monday.
Hasanov has "been an integral and committed member of the department for over 20 years. He was a traditional firefighter in that he was always willing to go the extra mile by utilizing his skill and abilities as an expert craftsman to improve fire stations, tools and equipment. He certainly will be missed," Deputy Chief Brian Scott said.

His "walk-out" ceremony will be Tuesday.
