Evanston Heroin Dealer Arrested: Police
Friday's arrest resulted from a joint investigation with the FBI that began in 2015.

EVANSTON, IL — Police arrested an alleged dealer after a long term joint investigation into the Evanston heroin trade with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Starting in 2015, police made numerous undercover heroin purchases to identify people involved in local heroin distribution.
Robert L. Crayton, 39, of the 1800 block of Hovland Court in Evanston, was arrested around 9:38 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Dodge Avenue.

Crayton sold approximately 80 grams of heroin to undercover investigators, police said. He has been charged with five counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Safe Streets North Task Force assisted during the investigation, according to Evanston police.
