Evanston Hospital Sued For Baby's Death
A mother says her daughter should have been taken elsewhere after a bacterial infection was found.
EVANSTON, IL - Evanston Hospital has been named in a lawsuit alleging negligence in the death of a newborn last year.
Molly Michele Hill, was treated at Northshore University Evanston Hospital in 2014 for prenatal care and gave birth to Madelyn Rose Hill on Nov. 4, according to the Cook County Record. While giving birth, Molly was given several medicines to treat a bacterial infection but claims in the lawsuit she should’ve been removed from the environment. She seeks $50,000 in damages.
Madelyn died the same day her mother was given the antibiotics.
