Evanston Hosting Job Fair For Ages 16 And Up
Dozens of employers are due to take part in a May 23 job fair at the Levy Center.
EVANSTON, IL — City staff announced more than two dozen employers are expected to take part in a job fair next week at the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave. Evanston has partnered with the Youth Job Center, National Able Network, Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership and the Illinois Department of Human Services to host the fair from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.
All community members looking for work, including students aged 16 or higher, were invited to attend. Potential employees were encouraged to bring along copies of their resumes and dress appropriate for an interview. According to the city, participating businesses at the job fair will include:

- First Student
- The Grove of Skokie
- The Illinois Department of Human Services
- JCFS
- KinderCare
- Lou Malnati’s
- Mather LifeWays
- Nando’s Peri Peri
- North Shore Transit
- NorthShore University HealthSystem
- Positive Connections
- Skills for Chicagoland’s Future
- Starbucks
- Target
- UPS
- ServPro
- Schneider Trucking
- The U.S. Census Bureau
- The U.S. Postal Service
- Westminster Place, and more
Those seeking more information about the job fair or needing assistance with preparation for interviews or resumes were asked to contact Diana Balitaan of the Youth Job Center. Balitaan will also be available for assistance during the event in Room 228 of the Levy Center.
