Evanston Teen Identified as Fatal Shooting Victim
The 18-year-old man was shot in the head and killed last week in Rogers Park.

CHICAGO, IL - The teenager shot in killed in the afternoon just south of the Evanston-Rogers Park border last week has been identified as an Evanston resident.
Antonio Robert Johnson, 18, was shot in the head around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 7400 block of N. Ridge Ave. in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. About one block south of Howard Street. He was taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was immediately pronounced dead.
Chicago Sun-Times’ Homicide Watch reports indicate two people were seen running eastbound on Birchwood Avenue after several gunshots were heard by area residents. Johnson may have been riding a bicycle when he was shot.

Reports by DNAinfo Chicago last week indicate one of Johnson’s attackers shot him in the head a second time after he had fallen to the street after being hit.
