Evanston Woman Gets 5 Years For DUI Crash That Killed Army Vet
Monica Wallace was sentenced after pleading guilty to the aggravated DUI that resulted in the death of Lamart Bailey last year.

EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston woman will spend five years behind bars for her role in the death of local Army veteran Lamart Bailey last year.
Monica Wallace, 43, was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after entering a guilty plea in Cook County Court to aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol-resulting in death, according to the Evanston Police Department.
Bailey, 45, was killed on Sept. 27, 2015 after Wallace drove her vehicle into several parked cars in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue. Wallace's vehicle flipped over after the collisions and she spent some time in the hospital recovering from her injuries. Bailey was a passenger in Wallace's vehicle.
