Food Delivery Robbery Suspect Nabbed; Another At Large

Police found the man who stole the food, now they want the one who pulled the knife.

Police have in custody one man positively identified by a Chicago food delivery driver as being involved in an armed robbery Monday in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue.

The 54-year-old driver was walking up to the Evanston residence around 6 p.m. to deliver food and was approached by two men, one who placed a knife to his neck and the other who removed a bag of food from his hand.

Deivonte Kelly Jr., 22, of Maywood, was spotted by police nearby in the 1700 block of Lyons Street and was positively identified as the man who removed the food.

Police are still seeking the man who pulled the knife on the driver. He was described as having a thin build and wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.

Kelly was charged with one count of felony armed robbery.
