Four 1st Place Finishes For ETHS Runners, Including Meet Record
Michelin sets record in 2nd consecutive win at prestigious meet, and Wildkits post fastest relay time recorded statewide so far this spring.

INDIANAPOLIS — Evanston’s runners claimed four first place finishes, including a meet record effort by senior Enyaeva Michelin in the 1600-meter race, and thrived in 70-degree weather Saturday at the Midwest Prep Invitational held in Indianapolis. No team standings were kept at the meet.
Michelin broke the meet mark of 4 minutes, 57.53 seconds with her effort of 4:56.14 and won the race by 26 seconds. It marked the second year in a row that Michelin has won that race at the prestigious meet where runners must meet established qualifying standards before they can participate.
Michelin also teamed up with Gabrielle Horton, Gabrielle Calixte and Asia Eddy to win the 1600 relay in 4:00.52. That’s the fastest outdoor time recorded by any team from Illinois so far this spring.
