Free Cooking Class for Food Sensory Issues

Thursday, October 8, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at NWC Food Incubator, 1601 Payne Street; sponsored by Have Dreams

On Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at NWC Food Incubator Demonstration Kitchen (formerly known as Now We’re Cookin’) located at 1601 Payne Street, Evanston, join Chef Jona Silva of Cooked Chicago as he prepares three dishes - a smoothie, a snack and a main dish - that are nutritious, yet appealing to individuals with food sensory issues, such as many children, teens and young adults on the autism spectrum. Chef Jona will provide samples and recipes, while Feeding Specialist Alyson Teitel will give tips on how to cook healthy and appealing dishes that parents and caregivers can apply when preparing meals at home.
