Gallery Owner Raising Money For Charity

Bob Danon, owner of The Danon Gallery, will donate $25 to K9s for Warriors for every print he sells from this recent artwork.

EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston business owner is raising money for K9s for Warriors, a charity that provides service dogs to American veterans. Bob Danon of The Danon Gallery on Central Street says he will donate $25 to the organization for every print of this fine art photographic print that he sells.

While driving the backroads of Kansas during early summer this year, Danon drove by a barn with an American flag painted on. “The flag barn just blew me away when I saw it. So I turned around went back and photograph it.

“I knew right away I wanted to Photoshop the words Proud to be... on the roof, and produce the revised image as a fine art print," he said. "It touched my heart, and as a Navy veteran it meant even more.”

He plans to give away about a handful of prints to friends and family, and even then he will donate the $25 to the organization himself.

The print can be purchased at the Danon Gallery, 1810 Central St. or by contacting Danon at bob@danonframes.com. The cost is $245 for unframed and $475 for framed. A "Proud to be…" bracelet will accompany each purchase.
