I have been thinking about potential solutions to dealing with violence around ETHS...and may have come up with an idea. Many of you know that I strongly support concealed carry of firearms for personal protection. Well....I didn't anticipate that so many local residents would be against law abiding citizens being able to exercise a constitutional right to under the 2A. A concealed firearm usually sends a strong message and provides a deterrent for others not to repeat the act. Well....after considering their feelings I think I may have hit upon an acceptable alternative which is viewed as humane, effective and has POWERFUL visual deterrent effect...lets bring back the GUILLOTINE!!
Imagine erecting a guillotine at one end of the ETHS football field.....where executions could be publicly held and viewed from the stands. If a person was found in violation of the ETHS Safe School Zone.....save the trip to Cook County Jail and the Skokie Courthouse....if they are on the list and in the zone they are guilty of its violation...lets create an administrative procedure that permits either school officials or EPD to detain them, bring them to the location, set up the guillotine and chop their head off on the spot. Each and every person on the Safe Zone ban list would be required to attend each and every execution in person to fully understand visually what would happen if they violate the ban....no cost of prosecution, no cost of keeping them in jail, merely the cost of hosing down the guillotine and disposing of their remains.
I wonder how many of the hoodrat thugs would risk having their heads chopped off by violating the ban. Some would say that the proposed method is draconian, cruel, violates constitutional rights....well so does seeking to restrict a law abiding citizens right to carry a concealed firearm...strikes me that the latter deterrent is less offensive than the former...but sadly I will concede it probably won't be as effective.
