Lake Bluff to Test Tornado Sirens Monday

Installation of new siren system will include periodic tests.

The village of Lake Bluff will test its new Tornado/Alert siren system from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 9.

According to a press release issued by the village Saturday, sirens may be temporarily sounded as part of the installation and testing process. The new sirens are being installed to replace the single siren the village previously used, which dated back to the 1950’s.

Questions about the test siren activations can be directed to the Police Department at 847-234-8760, extension 2.
