Mayor To Host Q&A On Collaboration With Northwestern University Police
The event is the latest in Mayor Hagerty's Q&A and discussion series on policing.

Evanston community members are invited to join Mayor Stephen Hagerty, members of the Evanston Police Department, and representatives of Evanston Township High School (ETHS) and Evanston/Skokie School District 65 for an upcoming Q&A and discussion on policing in Evanston.

The event is the latest in Mayor Hagerty's Q&A and discussion series on policing, which provides community members with an opportunity to learn and ask questions about a variety of topics, including Police Training, Use of Force Policy and Body Cameras, Complaint Process and more. These sessions, televised and streamed live online, will help inform the City Council's discussion on policing in Evanston as they consider any appropriate changes to better serve the community.
The next discussion is set for Monday, July 20 at noon, and will focus on the Evanston Police Department's collaboration with Evanston school districts and the Northwestern University Police Department. Residents can watch the discussion live on Channel 16 and on the City’s Facebook page. Questions may be submitted live during the broadcast or in advance using the City’s Q&A form, or by commenting on the Facebook Live broadcast.

For those unable to participate, a recording of the broadcast will be available and shared through the City’s communications channels later in the week.
The most recent discussion in the series took place on July 13 and focused on the Police Budget. The July 6 discussion focused on Police Training.
