Incidents and arrests from the Evanston Police Department blotter from Nov. 3 - Nov. 12

EVANSTON, IL — The following information comes from the Evanston Police Department as a record of those arrested by police and incidents reported to police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
CHURCH BURGLARY
Someone entered a church in the 1000 block of Greenleaf Street through an open window between Oct. 21 and Oct. 23.
SHOTS FIRED

- Gunfire was reported in the 300 block of Dewey Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. on Nov. 3.
- Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the area of Custer Avenue and Brummel Street .
- Around 2 a.m. on Nov. 6, gunfire was reported in the area of Howard Street and Ridge Avenue.
- Residents called police around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 to report gunfire in the area of the 1400 block of Grey Avenue.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- A car was keyed from front to back on its passenger side during the overnight hours of Nov. 1 to Nov. 2 in the 600 block of South Boulevard.
- Parking lots were damaged on Nov. 10 in the 500 block of Church Street, where a garage gate was damaged, and a municipal lot in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue, where an arm was damaged.
AGGRAVATED ROBBERY
Around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 in an alley in the area of the 2700 block of Woodbine Avenue, an unidentified man between 20 and 25 years old said he had a weapon and demanded a wallet, pursue and cell phone after a an Oregon couple in their 40s found him burglarizing their rental car. The couple ran away, and so did the burglar.

HOME BURGLARIES
- Someone broke into a single-family home in the 100 block of Florence Avenue between 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 5 and stole unspecified property.
- Someone broke into an apartment in the 900 block of Elmwood Avenue between 7:50 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 5. A gaming system with accessories was reported stolen. In the same time period and block, someone also forced open the basement door to an apartment building but nothing was reported stolen.
- Someone broke into a residential garage between Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 in the 2000 block of Darrow Avenue.
ARRESTS
Nicholas D. Nelson, 22, of the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Evanston Police Department and charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault. No further information was immediately available from police.
Mary C. O'Rourke, 71, of the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 and charged with retail theft at the Whole Foods, 1640 Chicago Ave.
Tiffany L. Gourley, 40, of the 1800 block of Lyons Street, Evanston, was arrested around 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 5 in her block of residence and charged with two counts of theft.
Elijha Jones, 23, of the 1300 block of South Kildare Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Evanston Police Department and charged with criminal damage to property.
Manuel Munoz, 18, of the 1800 block of Brown Avenue, Evanston, was arrested shortly before midnight on Nov. 6 and charged with DUI.
Howard W. Disbrow, 55, of the 1900 block of West Birchwood Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at the Evanston Police Department around 8 a.m. on Nov. 7 and charged with battery.
Jamir M. Johnson, 25, of the 2100 block of Grove Avenue, North Chicago, was arrested around 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the 2400 block of Dempster Street and charged with unlawful possession of an controlled substance with intent to deliver. No further information was immediately available from police.
Hector Ochoa, 26, of the 6100 block of South Campbell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 in the 1200 block of Ridge Avenue and charged with driving under the influence. A 30-year-old companion was cited under a local ordinance for disobeying police.
Ryan O. Bailey, 35, of the 900 block of Sherman Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 8 and charged with trespassing to state supported property at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.
Rebecca S. Jones, 60, of the 800 block of Elmwood Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the 1200 block of Dempster Street and charged with DUI.
Victor H. Quintana, 32, of the 1200 block of Elmwood Avenue, Evanston, was arrested shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 at his home and charged with battery.
Jaren Walker, 24, of the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue, Evanston, and Gabrielle A. Welch, 23, of the 200 block of Flora Avenue, Glenview, were arrested between 7 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 9 and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. No further information was immediately available from police about the circumstances of their arrests.
Andrea H. Warburton, 62, of the 500 block of Sheridan Square, Evanston, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 near the intersection of Keeney Street and Sheridan Road and charged with DUI.
