Woman Who Left Residential Care Facility Last Week Found (UPDATE)

Aral Lea Johnson was found in Chicago Wednesday, one week after she was reported missing from Evanston.

Update, Wednesday at 4 p.m.: Johnson has been found. Evanston police confirmed the missing woman who left a residential care facility on Chicago Avenue last week was found in Chicago. A tip from a family member led Evanston detectives to Johnson.

Evanston, IL - A woman went missing from an Evanston residential care facility last week, and police are now seeking the public's help in finding her.

Aral Lea Johnson, 24, was last seen leaving the facility in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue without permission at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

Police say there is no known destination for Johnson, who suffers from a mental health condition that required medication she does not have.

Johnson is white with blonde hair, 5'6", 125 pounds and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark colored shorts and a dark colored scarf.

Anyone with information as to Johnson's whereabouts is asked to contact the Evanston Police Department detective bureau at (847)866-5040. Information can also be given via Text-A-Tip at CRIMES (274637) and entering EPDTIP in the message line with the tip information.
