Drivers using the ParkEvanston mobile app can now park in multiple locations during their parking session thanks to the City of Evanston’s convenient, new Time Transfer program.

Time Transfer allows drivers to move their vehicles to other parking zones of an equal hourly rate without completing a separate payment, as long as they have time remaining on their session. For example, a driver parked in a standard $2-per-hour zone can move their vehicle to another zone of the same rate.

Drivers do not need to take any action to transfer their time; time automatically transfers to any zone with the same hourly rate, including both surface lots and on-street parking. Maximum hour limits for individual blocks and lots will still be enforced.

The Time Transfer feature is only available through the ParkEvanston mobile app; drivers cannot transfer their time using pay stations or meters.

Additional information about the program is available on the ParkEvanston FAQ page, parkevanston.org/faq.
