Northwestern Football Player Spoofs Evanston Street Name
So Jackson Avenue in Evanston isn't named after current Wildcat running back Justin Jackson?

EVANSTON, IL - The Northwestern University athletic department shared a clever video showing the commonality between a street that connects to the football stadium and the name of one of its running backs.
Junior Justin Jackson was interviewed on the “honor” of having Jackson Avenue in Evanston being named after him.
The video, shared earlier this week by CSN-Chicago, showed Jackson polishing the street sign that intersects with Central, walking down the avenue with a leaf-blower, driving a tractor and even directing traffic near Rosalie Street.

“It’s a great honor,” Jackson says on video from Ryan Field. “Unexpected, yeah. Is this the greatest honor that’s ever been bestowed upon a Northwestern football player?”
Of course Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald has to come in and ruin the party.

“Around 20 years,” Fitz responds.
“And how long has this been Jackson Avenue?”
“All of them.”
