Northwestern University Student Missing During Dangerous Chill
Police asked for the public's help to find a 24-year-old Evanston resident last seen by a roommate Tuesday morning.

EVANSTON, IL — A Northwestern University student has been reported missing in dangerously code weather. Police asked the public for help finding Gabriel Corona, an Evanston resident last seen Tuesday morning. Evanston police said Wednesday there is a "great concern" for Corona's safety as a result of the weather, where wind chills from 30 below zero to 50 below zero are expected through Thursday morning.
The 24-year-old Evanston resident was last seen by a roommate around 9 a.m. and reported missing around 10 p.m. Tuesday. He did not take his cellphone with him and has not contacted family or friends since Tuesday morning, according to Cmdr. Ryan Glew.
Corona is likely wearing the same black jacket as pictured. He is believed to travel around the Chicago area on CTA or Metra, but investigators are unaware of any neighborhood or area he is known to frequent, Glew said.
