Northwestern vs. Indiana College Football: Everything You Need To Know

Kickoff time, TV, point spread, tickets, parking, traffic and more.

One of the more surprising developments of the season is how Northwestern has transformed a debacle of a start to the season (the Wildcats began 1-3 and suffered a loss to FCS opponent Illinois State in the process) and turned things around with victories at Iowa and Michigan State.

The Spartans are not playing like a vintage Michigan State team, but Northwestern’s 54-40 victory Saturday was still impressive. The Wildcats poured on the points in the second half as they outscored the Spartans 35-23. Quarterback Clayton Thorson had an impressive outing as he completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns while running back Justin Jackson ran for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns. Receiver Austin Carr also was productive, catching 11 passes for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Indiana has lost its last two games, but the Hoosiers put up a fight in both, falling to Ohio state 38-17 on Oct. 8 and Nebraska 27-22 on Saturday. Junior quarterback Richard Lagow scuffled against the Cornhuskers, throwing for under 200 yards (196) while also tossing 2 interceptions, and the Hoosiers weren’t productive on the ground either as they carried the ball 30 times for only 88 yards. Defensively though, Indiana stifled Nebraska, forcing quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. to throw 2 interceptions while the normally dominant Cornhuskers ground game only managed 152 yards on 45 attempts (3.4 yards per carry).

Charter Bus Regulations

The City of Evanston provides free parking for charter buses for all Northwestern University home football games at Ryan Field. All buses must enter Ashland Avenue from Central Street and proceed north. Discharge passengers on the east side of the street at the stadium.

The major streets at the stadium are closed temporarily to vehicular traffic at the end of the game due to the large number of fans walking east from the stadium. Buses must stay in the lot until 15 minutes after the end of the game. Staff at the lot will release buses at the appropriate time. This allows the majority of pedestrians to clear the stadium area before the buses return (about 30 minutes after the end of the game). Buses returning early are a hazard and will not be allowed in the stadium area.

RV Parking
Due to construction on campus, there is no RV Parking for the 2016 Northwestern football season.
