Oncologist at Presence Saint Francis Gives Up License

EVANSTON, IL - A doctor who practiced in Evanston will give up her medical license in lieu of criminal charges for dispensing non-approved imported cancer drugs to her patients.

Ann Kinnealey, an Evanston oncologist who worked in cancer treatment at Presence Saint Francis Hospital and Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, came to the agreement with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, according to the Daily Northwestern. She is alleged to have bought the drugs from Canadian-based Quality Specialty Products and dispensed about $1 million worth, which is illegal.
AP reports indicate Kinnealey will also pay $129,000 to defer prosecution.
