Parking Enforcement Operations To Resume June 1

The City will issue only warning citations for non-safety related violations through June 7; fines will begin being issued June 8.

As Evanston and Illinois prepare to move to Phase 3 of Governor Pritzker's Restore Illinois recovery plan, the City of Evanston will resume parking enforcement operations on Monday, June 1.

The City suspended enforcement of non-safety related parking violations, such as an expired parking session, during the statewide Stay at Home Order. As the City and State make progress towards a safe recovery, parking enforcement operations will resume.

To help inform residents, the City will issue only warning citations for non-safety related violations through June 7; fines for these violations will be issued beginning on June 8.

Street cleaning will continue in June, but only warning citations will be issued through June 28. Fines will be issued for street cleaning parking violations beginning June 29.

Posted signage designating temporary free parking spaces to facilitate pick-up at local restaurants and retail establishments will be honored through the month of June.
